Indian Institute of Management Kashipur admissions are offered to programmes including MBA, MBA Analytics, Executive MBA and Ph.D programmes. For IIM Kashipur Management and Business Administration programme admissions, the institute accepts scores of GMAT/CAT/GRE/GATE/IIMB Test examination.

Indian Institute of Management Kashipur offers a six-year full-time Ph.D programme. Tabulated below is the IIM Kashipur PhD eligibility criteria.

IIM Kashipur admissions are based on the IIM CAP results 2024, declared by the IIM Kashipur on cap2024.iimkashipurportal.org. IIM Kashipur CAP 2024 results are based on the scores obtained in the CAT 2023 examination, and performance in the Written Ability Test(WAT) and Personal Interview(PI) round organised by the institute.

The candidate must pay an offer acceptance fee of Rs 50,000 to confirm acceptance of the offer, which will later be adjusted towards Term I fees.
Scholarships offered by the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur are the need cum merit-based financial assistance. Candidates from both 1st year PGP and 2nd year PGP can avail of the scholarship. Up to 46 scholarships can be availed by first and second-year students. The scholarship is awarded based on the candidates’ academic performance and annual family income. Students also avail of central government scholarships like the central Sector scholarship scheme for SC/ST, merit-cum-means based scholarship scheme belonging to the minority communities, etc. To avail of the scholarships, candidates have to apply on the national scholarship portal.
Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur will release the cutoff for CAP 2023 based on the CAT score 2022. Candidates will have to clear the cutoff to get shortlisted for the IIM Kashipur admission process. The admission process includes GD and PI rounds. IIM Kashipur offers MBA and MBA (Analytics) programmes for which admission is provided based on the score of the Common Admission Test.
To gain admission to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur, an aspiring student needs to score at least 50 percent marks in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation. Next, the student needs to appear in the entrance exams like CAT/GMAT/EMAT.

To answer your question, NO, work experience in not compulsory for MBA in Business Analytics from IIM Kashipur.
Though, having work experience would definitely help in your interview, and further ahead in your career, but it is definitely not compulsory.

I would suggest your brother to go for IIM( Indian Institute of Management ) Trichy(Tiruchirappalli ) as it is definitely a better IIM than IIM Kashipur as according to NIRF rankings IIM Trichy is at 17 where as IIM Kashipur is at 33 so you can see the huge difference , also IIM Kashipur is a very new IIM in comparison to Trichy .
Your brother should choose a better college than the one which is closer to home .The placement scenario of Trichy is much better than Kashipur .
