Dear aspirant,
I would say that to get admission in iist irrespective of jee mains you should be focused in jee advanced more as you have to get a very a decent score in jee advanced.
In general if you are capable to go for iist Thiruvananthapuram then you should be able to score a minimum of 96.5 percentile in jee mains.
Coming to jee advanced to clear the cut off for iist a minimum of 40% in jee advanced is required to take admission .in that college.
In the notification, its nowhere mentioned any separate qualifying marks for Droppers & Freshers. So yeah the eligibility is applicable for both the cases.

Hello
You have not mention from which category you are . As the cutoff is different for different category. As for iit the cutoff of the general category is in between 750-500. Likewise for every category cutoff is different. So please provide from which category you are .
Hope this helps
Thank you
Dear Aspirant,
IIST or Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers courses at many levels and in various disciplines like Engineering and Science but majorly emphasises on the aspect of Aerospace in the same.
This institute is exclusive to Indian citizens. The eligibility criteria state that the candidate must have secured the minimum aggregate of 75% marks in 12th board or equivalent exam and some castes have been given the relaxation in this aggregate by 5%.
For joining the B.Tech. programme in the college, the candidate will have to give JEE Main and JEE Advanced. For the General Category, there must be at least 20% aggregate and 5% marks in each subject for being admitted. For OBC's, at least 18% marks should be there as aggregate and 4.5% in PCM. For SC/ST/PD the minimum aggregate is 10% marks with at least 2.5% in PCM.
The application is to be filled online. IIST does not mention NCC as a part of it in any of the information given so far, so I am assuming that it is not available. You can, therefore, join NCC as an open cadet. You will have to decide which wing you want to join- army, navy or Air Force. You will have to visit the nearest NCC unit near your college and meet the subedar major and they will guide you regarding the further procedure. You will be mostly referred to as a place where you all be tested for your physical efficiency and will also have to give a written test and interview.
Hope this helps. All the best!
