Hello
Admission to the B.Tech course in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is done through merit list based on JEE Advanced score.
IISER admission is conducted through three channels- KVPY, SCB and JEE.

Hello,
It is not necessary for you to study only in IIST to get into ISRO. You can get a job at ISRO with a degree feom other colleges too. If you are passionate and talented enough to get into IIST then you can get into ISRO through campus placements. You can go through more information about your query from the link below-

Good luck!
Hello,
IIST stands for Indian Institute of Space science and technology. It is one of the prestigious institutes of India. It is located in Thiruvananthapuram. There is only one IIST in India. Follow the link mentioned below to know about IIST-

Good Luck!
Hello.
IISC is the best. However, getting admitted there is damn too difficult whereas there are only five IIT’s that provide aerospace engineering program - IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, which shows odds are less. In IIST many of the professors got there PhD from IISC. As they say IISC provides best teaching and guidance than any other university in India for at least aerospace engineering. If you want to join ISRO or DRDO then no one is better than IIST.
Thanks
Hey Aspirant
Placements : The placements in this college are different from another college. In this college, till 2017 all the students who have CGPA above or equal to 7.5 were placed in ISRO. For the M.Tech students, this college placement cell is active but not much. The toppers of each branch get chance to MS in MIT. According to last year data, there were 140 students in the final year, out of them 104 were placed in ISRO as scientists. In the 3rd year, all student gets the inter under the centres of ISRO. The faculty in this college always motivate students to do something innovative.
Infrastructure : The infrastructure is good. All the labs are there whichever required for courses. There are many labs like manufacturing lab, physics lab, communication lab, Avionics lab, chemistry lab, high-performance computer lab and many more. The Wi-Fi facility is provided but active in the specific place and specific time. The Wi-Fi is active in library, academic building and hostels from 6 are to 8 am on working days (Mon-Fri). On Saturday and Sunday full day Wi-Fi is provided.
24*7 medical facilities are provided and connected to the city hospital. The college has own ambulance. The basketball court and cricket practice net are there inside the campus. Out on campus, there are football and cricket ground. The classrooms and labs are awesome. All labs are air-conditioned, and some of the classrooms have AC. The mess food is average, and there is a cafeteria with all food items. The hostel rooms are far better than any of IIT colleges. I did not face any infrastructure related issues till now.
Faculty : Qualified faculty are there. Some of them have done PhD from great colleges, and some are ISRO scientists. Due to less number of student (60 per class), the coordination between student and faculty is amazing. They are always ready to help each student who reaches for them. They clear all doubts of students and still motivate the students to do something innovative.
