Hello,

The admission to Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram occurs by considering the JEE Advanced score. You should apply there once the admission procedure starts. Once all these steps are completed, rank list will be prepared using the meirt of candidates. It is this rank list that determines your admission. You can also visit https://www.iist.ac.in/ to view the previous year cut-off and marks of various ranks in the rank list.

Hello Alfiya!

You can't avoid staying in hostel while studying in iist. You have to stay in the campus .You will pay 48400 Rs fees which includes all the charges.

Hope it answer your concerns.

Hello Alfiya

If you maintain a CGPAof more than 7.5 there are no fees. Hostel and food is also free. There is a book bank that gives textbooks for all the students. You have to pay a refundable caution deposit of Rd 13000 and a bond for Rs 10 Lakhs if he doesn't serve ISRO for 3 years.

If you work hard and read you get education virtually free and a job in ISRO and an opportunity to serve the nation.

If you are a laggard and do not meet CGPA requirements you have to pay approx 50000 per semester till your CGPA crosses 7.5.

Hello Alfiya,

ISRO will is the main (only one till now) which is hiring aspirants due to the agreement that if one secure a CGPA greater than 7.5 we have to work for ISRO fro 3 years. If yiu get placed there you will recieve a bacsic pay of Rs.21000 per month according to central govt scale.you get something around 70k will all the allowances. But in recent times a few sophisticated companies like Adobe,Mathworks,Mercedes Benz and few more have conducted placement sessions and hired M.Tech students. Now the placement cell is working very actively.

Good luck.

If you ask me then first of all you must have physics and maths in your 12th boards. Then you shall get admission in IIST (Indian institute of space science and technology) then after that you get to isro and work as scientist or engineer. This way seems more easier .
