iit Hyderabad , nit warangal , iit Delhi , iit guwahati these all colleges are best for  btech . You can join any college because these colleges are best for btech . These colleges having experienced faculty and staff . Infrastructure is awesome . So all the colleges are better in my opinion .

Hello,

You can't get an admisson if you haven't qualified the JEE Advance with a good score. As per the score you have said, it won't be even possible to get a NIT college or IIIT. Better to look for private college and take an admission through counselling for which you may get a low fee structure. Competence has increased alot and it's seriously not that easy to get an IIT. It takes lots of effort to clear JEE Advance.

yoou can use CPGET rank to get into any college which accepts the entrance and government college is also possible.

Hope it helps!

Hi ! It seems that you are not going to get any IIT with any branch. It is so because your rank is very high. So better not go for counselling. Instead drop 1 year and prepare for JEE advance once again, if you want to. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

Hello dear aspirant

IIT Dhanbad is one of the best engineering institution in the country,  it has a good campus,  Dhanbad being the coal capital of India has a lot of PSUs.
Now coming to the point,  the placement of IIT Dhanbad is not as good as those for B.Tech but at an overall level,  placement is nice,  you can expect a salary ranging from 4lakhs to 12 lakhs.

Hope I am clear.

You have scored very well in JEE MAINS but unfortunately for you, IITs consider only JEE ADVANCE marks for admission. If you have scored well in JEE advanced too the well and good, but without that, I can not really tell you if it is possible. But you can definitely get admission in NITs and IIITs with your excellent rank in JEE Mains. You can apply for these institues through JoSAA, and that can be done through the JEE mains website. NITs and IIIts are also government colleges and esteemed colleges. So if you get any of these don't leave the chance. You can get the list of Top NITs and IIITs, and you can prioritise between them considering all the things that you want in your college, including Branch and Fee Structure. These being government aided colleges don't have fees as high as that of private colleges. As you prioritise and enter the list in the JoSAA rounds, it automatically checks your rank and marks with the cutoff, and allot the college and course nearest to the top of your list. All the Best. Hope you get the college and stream that you want.

Hello aspirate

Out of 16 IITs only 10 IITs offer chemical engineering .Package in Chemical engineering depends on your capabilities. You may get average salary of 7.5 or 8 lakh package per annum depending on the companies and your skills. And you can also earn maximum package of 50 lakhs per annum in companies like  Reliance petroleum, Indian oil corporations etc . These companies offers high package in IIT Delhi.

Hence it totally depend on your capacity and knowledge to get jobs in Best companies with best placement .

Hope it helps

Well brother, it very harsh to see that an aspirant even before stepping into the college is so career centric and prioritises only to placements. I would strongly recommend you to discover your interest/niche and thereby choose your branch accordingly.

As being an engineering student (from NIT) I can say every branch is equal and had lot to offer and any apsirant can build a great resume and career provided he/she has interest over it.

Infact even considering you choices, let me explain it to you

  • If you opt for metallurgy and then after GATE selected for a maharatna PSU, then salary would be around 20Lacs
  • By ocean engineering, and then cleared the GEE of naval army then you salary would be around 15 Lac and an esteemed position at Indian Army
  • By naval architecture and then recruited under a top architect or designer as a trainee or an assistant, then salary would be again around 20Lac + incentives like foreign tour etc.

So don't under estimate any branch, every branch has an equal potential to reach to sky!

Hey Saurav ,

First of all congratulations on being selected for NSIT . I if you are getting admission in CSE branch in NSIT you must not loose this golden chance . As CSE is the most valuable branch in NSIT as well as the Industry also. Also CSE department of NSIT is best when you are Opting a college by the JAC counselling . I must say you should take CSE from NSIT undoubtedly .

Best of Luck.

Hello student,
You have not mentioned which category you belong to . But, With 103 in the advanced exam, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the IIT Delhi when comparing the results of previous years. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats, by which nothing can be predicted for sure. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection
