Hello Chhavi,

Congratulations for your result. In order to predict the exact college first we need to find the exact rank. It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.

But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 80 percentile your CRL-AIR will be around 204600 - 230000 . You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

In order to get a CSE seat in NITs, IITs, GFTIs, you need to score at least 97+ percentile as per past year trends.

Thus, with 80 percentile, chances are very low for  NITs, IITs, GFTIs.

If you want to check the chances of getting a college, you can go through our college predictor link which is given below:

Thank you and all the best for your future.

Based on careers360 JEE Main rank predictor tool your overall rank is expected to be in between 20460 - 23000 approximately. To check the expected rank here is the link to the rank predictor

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/

Considering the previous year cut off you have chances of getting seat in the following institutes. As you haven't mentioned your category we assume that you belong to general category.

  • Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar: Civil Engineering
  • Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad: Production and Industrial Engineering
  • Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal: Mechanical Engineering
  • Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)Kota, Rajasthan: Computer Science and Engineering
  • Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur: Electronics and Communication Engineering

The above college prediction is based on the previous year cut off in round 6 of JoSAA counselling for general category (Other state).  Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To know the institutes in which you may get seat you may use our JEE Main college predictor tool

Hello Aspirant,

As you have got 78 marks in JEE mains, your percentile will be around 75-80 and your general rank will be in between 262000. And you category rank will be around 55000. Getting a seat will depend on various factors such as number of students applied for the same branch, performance of the students, category of the students, home state etc.

With this rank it will be difficult for you to get government seats or any top NIT or IIIT.

Getting 95 percentile is a great score, especially if you have appeared for the first time. You may get many National Institute of Technologies and IIITs with this score and that too with good branches. Some of the best colleges that you may get are as follows:

NIT Hamirpur
NIT Silchar
NIT Nagaland
NIT Arunachal Pradesh
NIT Sikkim

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hi Tejavath.

With a percentile of 67 in JEE Main, and with a category of ST , your expected CRL Rank is nearly 514801 . With such a score and category , it is very difficult for you to get into any NIT, IIIT or CFIT . However, I have created a list of Govt . colleges where you may seek admission into:

  • Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
  • University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University
  • Institute of Engineering and Technology
  • Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology
  • United Institute of Technology, Allahabad

Your rank was predicted using: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor?utm_source=engineering&utm_medium=recommended&utm_campaign=jee-main-2022

  • Hope this helps. Thanks .

[Note: These are predictions from previous years' data. This year's cutoffs have not been released yet.]

[Cutoffs and ranks depend on various factors like:

  1. Number of Candidates.
  2. Performance in exam.
  3. Difficulty of exam.]

hlwo aspirant

hope you are doing well

You have to score above 94 percentile to get iiit and that too u will get ece branch or other lower branches in some iiits With 88 percentile, you have a good chance to appear in JEE Advanced as well

You should try to get more then 125 marks in JEE Main general category to get NITs and IIITs. as you said you are from OBC category then you have to score atleast 120 to get NITs or IIITs.

With 88 percentile it is hard to get into NIT. You can go after IIIT. In any case, you have generally excellent shot of getting entrance into centrally funded university..

However, their are such a large number of state run college which acknowledge JEE main score.

Sorry to say but I'll not use any sugarcoat but you can't able to get admission in any good government college , nit and iiit with this rank. I think you should take admission in any good private college or if you want a nit and IIIT then you should start your preparation for next year.

hope this is helpful for you

all the best

Hey aspirant

Shift and date of exam plays an important role in predicting College. For the above mentioned mark you will be getting a percentile between 95-96. Your rank will be around 50k. Getting admission for top branches like cse will be difficult for above mark.  For college prediction refer below link https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Dear Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to predict the exact opportunities that you have because it varies depending on the number of students attempting the exam and the difficulty level of the exam etc.

You have a really good chance of getting a CRL around 70 K and category rank of about 20 K.

With this rank it is difficult for you to get into NITs

You have a small chance of getting core branches like civil, chemical in your home state NIT especially in the special rounds but that depends on what your home state is.

You can get core branches in NIT Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh etc.

For more accurate predictions, please check the link below.

Hello Vivek,

Congratulations for your result. It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.

But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 74.22 percentile your CRL-AIR will be around 263729 - 296470 and your SC rank will be 15k+. You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

In order to get a seat in NITs, you need to score at least 9k - 10k SC rank, or 85 percentile as per past year trends.

Thus, with 74.22 percentile, chances are low for NITs and nill for IITs.

If you want to check the chances of getting a college, you can go through our college predictor link which is given below:

Thank you and all the best for your future.

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is

>>>>>>>> expected to be in the range of 79-83 .

Note that the percentile which is predicted is only the expected percentile on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile might vary depending upon current factors.

On such percentile your ST rank would be somewhere around 2800-3200, so on such rank you should target for some IIITs and some lower NITs :-

Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur - Electronics and Communication Engineering

Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar - Industrial and Production Engineering

National Institute of Technology Agartala - Chemical Engineering

National Institute of Technology Durgapur - Bio Technology

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score or rank you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Also on such percentile, being a ST candidate you have GOOD chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.

You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
