As you have mentioned that you comes under BC-B but it is state level reservation and SRM JEE and KLEEE is University level entrance examination so to get reservation your category should lie under central list of reservation available at ( http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx ) but as you have mentioned that you does not lie under OBC-NCL category then you have to apply under General category because for OBC-Creamy Layer there is no reservation and they are treated as General category candidates.

I think you can make a better choice if I can keep before you the facts. GITAM and KL are Deemed to be Universities. In terms of rating, KL is A++ whereas GITAM is only A+. NAAC rating signifies the standard of education. A better rating is always a good thing.

GITAM and KL compete well in terms of placements, but KL has a 100% placement record from the past 15 years but GITAM doesnt have any mention of such a track record. So, when I talk from point of view of the standard of education and placements, I feel KL has an edge.
