To be very much clear let me tell you that I am also a mechanical scholar.

I can tell you that both the branches are very good . You should take your call in this matter.

I can just tell you that ECE is relatively easy in comparison to mechanical. Placement of ECE is also relatively high , packages are approximately equal.

The only advantage with mechanical is that it is a very interesting branch if you have a little interest in it. Once you develop a interest in it you can surely do better in life.

While NIT raipur is amongst the best NITs in the country whereas MBM Jodhpur is the top state level college in Rajasthan. Therefore, you should choose according to the fact that whether you prefer branch or college. If you prefer branch then you should go for MBM Jodhpur or if you prefer college then you should go for NIT Raipur. Hope this helps.

If you wish to compare the two options based on the colleges then clearly NIT raipur is much better than NIT srinagar in terms of infrastructure and placements it also has the advantage of a better location and also has better ranking but if you prefer IT branch and are not getting it in any other reputed college then you can go for NIT srinagar. Hello Aayush, Badluck, No, you can't go back to 2nd round allocated seat because that seat would have been allocated to someone else in the 7th round. You can't go back to your old round seat and claim it because you have been allocated a seat in the further round. If you hadn't got any seat in the rounds after 2nd, then you would have a hold over your 2nd round seat in NIT Raipur. But now you cannot claim it because you have been allocated a seat in the further round.

 The authorities have released the detailed list of JoSAA 2019 reporting centres where candidates who are allotted seats during the counselling process will have to report. There are 18 reporting centres for IIT seat allotment and 45 for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. It is important for the selected candidates to report to the JoSAA 2019 reporting centres and if not done, it might lead to cancellation of admission.

Yes you can report to any NIT+ RC, there is absolutely no restriction of your choice, it logical that you would choose a RC closer to you.
