IIM Ranchi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Student hostel accomodation is made available at the Residential Blocks of the Sports Village a.k.a Khelgaon, which is located in the outskirts of Ranchi. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls.I IM Ranchi hostel facilities include shared flats that are furnished with three or four beds each, Each block consists of a mess, canteen and a dispensary for medical requirements of the students. The mess serves healthy and tasty food.

IIM Ranchi has set up separate hostels for girls. IIM Ranchi provides a housing facility to the students in shared flats, with each flat having three or four beds.  Apart from the beds, these flats also have a common room and a kitchen that is sufficiently furnished. All the rooms have access to the internet. Housekeeping services are also provided for the students. 

The academic block is well equipped with the latest technologies and classrooms with sufficient space. The latest teaching-learning aids are used in education. 

IIM Ranchi provides a well-equipped gym for the students to maintain their fitness. The gym helps the students in keeping their health and fitness in check.

The IIM Ranchi library is known as “Athenaeum-The Learning Resource Centre”. IIM, Ranchi library facility include a number of books, print periodicals, CD/DVD’s, e-resources (databases), e-journals, e-books, and e-dissertations and theses. The library provides on campus as well as off-campus access to subscribed electronic resources using remote access facility.The function of the library is fully automated. The library and its resources are easily accessible to all students and staff. 

IIM Ranchi has separate stadiums for separate games such as basketball, badminton, swimming, athletics, and many more. IIM Ranchi sports facilities aim at giving students enough opportunity for extra-curriculars. 

The institute is equipped with top class infrastructure facilities. 5 Rack Mounted Servers and 3 Blade Servers hosts various Server Applications including IIM Ranchi's Academic Information System (AIS), Anti-Virus Server and other Academic Softwares. IIM Ranchi has a 40 user capacity Computer Lab where students can access all registered Academic Softwares owned by the institute and also use the broadband facility for academic purposes.

IIM Ranchi has a cafeteria on its campus. It serves healthy food at pocket-friendly rates. The canteen serves a variety of food and is prepared keeping the hygiene of students in mind.

IIM Ranchi provides the auditorium to organise the different types of events, seminars, workshops and other events. The auditorium is accessible to students and staff to conduct all these events. 

IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes which have a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. Even the hotels of the institute have access to wi-fi. 

IIM Ranchi provides medical and first aid facilities for the students and staff. The medical room has all the medicines of urgent requirement and all items of first aid.
