Fantastic infrastructure with beautiful greenery in surrounding and absolutely stunning weather all around the year. Spacious reading hall along with mega library for academic and non academic books. Small classrooms equipped with smart boards. Clean and beautiful hostels with single room occupancy for all students.

Post graduation program, the flagship course of the college offers wide range of subjects from various domains such as finance, consulting, operations, marketing, HR. Courses designed to give theoretical and practical experience to students through case studies and projects.

As the trend set already, all students get good placements with high packages. Though, it requires hard work from students, placement coordinators put lots of efforts too. College administration also emphasize on making the process as smooth as possible.

Exact amount could not be disclosed but it is at par with every other IIMs and it's worth it for such positive environment the institute sets for students.

Absolutely stunning!!! Can't describe exactly in words but it would be greatest time of your life spent ever. You will enjoy the atmosphere around the year, but also required to do hardwork. Various cultural activities throughout the year including sports weeks and other fun activities.

Currently I am pursuing my MBA from IIM Shillong and I will be graduating in 2025. I will be reviewing the college by talking about some of the important aspects in brief: Hostel facilities: The institute has two campuses. The new campus is in Umsawli and the old campus is in Nongthymmai. While majority of the activities takes place in new campus only, old campus is still used as hostel for the junior batch. As a result, First year students have to travel 2 hours daily to and fro, between these two campuses. The hostel facilities in the new campus are just amazing. Mess facilities: Even though the institute tries to offer as much diverse menu as possible, but in terms of food quality the experience is not that good. Food options are many, but quality suffers.

IIM Shillong follows the IIM curriculum strictly. Most of the teaching revolves around the case based pedagogy. Professors are of higher quality except a few, which is very normal everywhere. Even though academic rigour exists there, but not as rigorous as Ahemdabad or Lucknow.

One area in which IIM Shillong has stood apart from the other IIMs is Placements. IIM Shillong has been given the tag of 'Fastest growing IIM'. The term BLACKI which is used for the best IIMs is now getting transformed to BLACKIS, which itself is a proof of the recent top placement records.

Placement are good compared to new IIM and the average package is continuously growing from past years which is a positive side and new companies also visit regularly for hiring. Location is an issue as most interview are online

The infrastructure is great considering they have built a new campus recently which has almost all the facilities like 24x7 library, football ground, basketball and cricket ground, badminton ground, gym, WIFI, mess and hostel rooms with single occupancy and attached washrooms

The quality of teaching is excellent. IIM Shillong has the best and most experienced faculties. Many of the faculties also have industrial experience. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it focused on overall development of the participant.

The Campus life is great. They have 20 clubs and committees, of which one can be a member. They have numerous events going on throughout the year. Location is also safe for the students and can handle emergencies.
