The Smithsonian Institute has developed a course on Teaching Critical Thinking through Art with the National Gallery of Art for learning important critical thinking using artwork. This is a development programme for teachers where the coursework strives to create a culture of critical thinking in classrooms. It tries to include teachers from any subject and level without any particular condition set in the background. 

The candidate must be willing to experiment with new teaching practices and strategies. This course was developed by the Harvard Graduate School of Education through the Project Zero development program. The three main areas used to explore through this program are observing and describing, reasoning with evidence, and then finally, questioning and investigating. 

The resources provided in this program will strengthen the critical thinking abilities of the candidates and programmes have more than 20 video tutorials and important tools such as a Zoom tool, polls, a discussion board, video demonstrations, and video interviews. The medium of instruction is in English but video transcripts are available in four languages. The programme runs for a duration of 16 weeks and the student needs to put in a minimal effort of three to four weeks per week since it is an introductory-level course.

The self-paced course is available for learners to pursue by paying the fee or free to audit. In the paid mode, the candidates will have unlimited access and in the free mode, they will have only limited access.

In the Art and Design in the Digital Age online course, you will learn about how contemporary artists and designers use technology to create imaginative art. These applications include image processing, social networks, flash mobs, immersive virtual environments, and much more. 

Art and Design in the Digital Age by edX is a 12-week training programme that has been created and produced by Shenkar- Engineering, Design, Art. The course instructor is Dr. Lee Weinberg from IsraelX. To complete this course, you need to devote about 4-5 hours per week. This is an intermediate course. So while there aren’t any prerequisites, a degree in relevant fields like Art History, Art, Design, etc., will be helpful. 

Art and Design in the Digital Age is a certification course. You can earn a digital certificate by completing the course materials and following the instructor-led schedule. 

The How to Write a Novel: Writing the Draft certification course is specially formulated for all aspiring as well as professional writers who are pursuing a career in novel writing and are participating in NaNoWriMo. The Certification Course on How to Write a Novel: Writing the Draft programme will be supervised by accomplished authors and writers who will help students to write professional fictional novels. Regular writing sessions will be organised so that candidates develop new skills.
