The course Biomaterials and Your Health consists of four modules that introduce cutting-edge technologies in dentistry such as biomimicry, nanoneedles, and their application in oral cancer diagnostics. Students will also learn about the properties of the most commonly used dental materials, such as modern bone cement, glass ionomer cement, fiber-reinforced composites, and silicon. Furthermore, standardization and workplace safety issues in dentistry will be addressed.

Participants can join either of the two tracks of this self-paced course by paying a fee or free of cost. In the free track, the students will be able to audit the programme. In the verified track one can audit the course for a limited duration, they need to submit the course fee and get an unlimited duration during which they can finish learning the course.
