It is quite a good college for cse and etc with some great faculties in this branches. but, it is more like a school with lot of discipline. They have guards all around the college for supervision.

At start, you get decent faculties in first year which gets better as you move ahead. College does not spend money on fests and freshers parties kind of stuff.

If you are looking for decent college environment with some discipline, you can go with it.

CV Raman College of Engineering which is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology offers undergraduate engineering degree courses in various disciplines and considers admission to the candidates primarily through either one of two engineering entrance examinations that being JEE Mains and OJEE.

Candidates can take admission into this university/ institute through lateral entry by securing a certain cutoff rank in engineering entrance examination OJEE.

Dear Aspirant 

Generally the documents that are required during a counselling and admission process are as follows - :

• Class 10th results photo copy along with original. 
• Class 12th results with photo copy along with original. 
• Domicile certificate if you are taking admissions in state other than you are living. 
• Caste certificate for students belongs other than the general. 
• Income certificate. 
• Entrance result photocopy. 
• Transfer certificates. 
• Character certificate. 
• Migration certificate if taking admissions in the state other than where you have completed class 12th.
• Medical certificates. 
• Gap certificate (if there is gap between your academics. 
• Aadhar card along with photocopy. 

So these are documents generally required.

If u have an 8 percentile rank, you are not eligible to study in almost all the colleges, government and even private. However, you can google about cutoffs in some private colleges. Search mostly in your own state, maybe there is a chance. If you have a chance to study again, do so.

In my opinion, Siksha O Anusandhan is better than CVRaman for computer science engineering.

The answer will be know because the CV RAMAN college of engineering provides only a 10% quota for the other states selection via JEE mains marks,and those seats do not accept the rank of 30 k for IT/CSE branches as they are the most demanded branches ,however you might be able to approach the college for management quota but the capitation fees may be very high due to the name the college holds and you are not from the home state,orissa.

So, you either approach the college to secure admission via management quota ,if you really want to study in that college, or you just go for other better colleges in you homestate or some otehr state that accepts your marks for admission without high capitation fees.

Dont lose hope ,you have scored decent and considerable marks!

so,you will definitely get a better college that you deserve!

Admission in CVRCE is done through central counselling conducted by Odisha Jee, among the Rank Holders of the All India JeeMain-2019 Entrance Exam. All the seats will be filled through e-counselling procedure conducted by Odisha Jee Counselling 2019 as per their notification (to be notified soon). There is also provision for direct admission on vacant seats after the closure of the e-counselling procedure for the Rank Holders of the All India JeeMain -2019. Candidates interested to join CVRCE are advised to fill the online application format given on CVRCE college website.

According to previous year cutoffs, with a rank of 514342, you can get Computer science and Information technology, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering. Please note that cutoffs can vary too, based on the number of seats available etc.

At this time there are less chances for get any seat..Directly visit to college and ask for vacant seats and about management quota...
