IIIT kottayam is central goverment institution where you can get admission through JOSAA councilling which will going to start very soon.

it has recently shifted to its permanent campus . It is really a good college regarding studies . coding culture are way better than other private institues like Vit,SRM,JIIT Noida,Nirma,LNMIIT Jaipur. regarding faculties it does not matter that much as in such high reputed institutes students have to study on their own but then also it has good faculties. though it is a newly opened IIIT but that does not matter the most as anything great cannot be opened in just one day . sports facilities are also provided for sporty students. students can also get good internships which will help them in their placements. though the college is little bit a strict and makes its own rules and regulations which might not be relevant sometimes but that happpens everywhere.

Regarding placements many good companies come here for recruitments such as TCS,Nissan,Mphasis,Sayone,Gadgeon,Litmus 7 and many more. it offers the minimum package of 4lpa amd a maximum package of 10lpa. Nissan gave the packages between 6-10lpa in the year 2019 itsel as its the first year of placements in the college . also the college has a separate placement cell. it also depends on the students how he/she perfoms. also institute is improving regarding to the placements to get more better packages.

at all the institute is good and will going to gain the reputation same as old iiit's and NIT's in coming years.

Based upon your percentile in JEE Mains, You cannot get admission in any of the  government colleges like NIT's, IIIT's and GFTI's. This is because of your very very high rank in the JEE Examination. One needs to have a rank of around 30000 to  get admission in good government college.

IIIT Kottayam is n autonomous university which was recently established in 2015. The admissions to this college are considered through JEE main scores under the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).

IIIT Kottayam offers B. Tech, B. Tech Honors and B. Tech + MS dual degree courses at UG level. All the courses offered by the IIIT Kottayam are full time. 

B.Tech program offers 90 seats and the students applying for admission must meet the eligibility criteria that includes passing 10+2 or any equivalent examination successfully.

Your rank isn't enough for NITs or IIITs.You need rank under 40k with general category and 20k with OBC category.With this rank you won't get good government engineering college.Look for another engineering entrance examination.

Your percentile in Jee is 80 and you are OBC-NCL, then I would say that there are very less or say chances in  NITs or IIIts for you.
What you can try is to  apply for CSAB special round counselling, it might get you good NIT.

As you have mentioned that you are OBC-NCL, thenI would say that there are certain but not much NITs or IIIts for you.
NIT Agartala, NIT Srinagar, NIT Manipur, Mizoram etc are some of these.
Also apply for CSAB special round counselling, it might get you good NIT.
