Chandigarh University Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #1 Among all Private Indian Universities in QS Asia Rankings 2025 | Scholarships worth 210 CR
Hello Divyasai,
The IIITs in Andhra Pradesh are existing under the name of Rajeev Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies and are present in three different campuses.
The admission is through three different modes of processes.
The first is thorough JEE Mains. Next is through its own admission examination and the last is through SAT scores.
How that helps.
Hello,
I am sorry to inform you that with your rank of around 3.5 lac in OBC-NCL, you cannot get any government or private college through JoSAA counseling and that includes IIITs too. If you belong to north-eastern states you might have a chance but otherwise, it's a straight no. I would suggest you to immediately start looking for other private colleges and state government counseling in order to take admission this year. All the best for your future.
Thank You
Hello,
To be clear, IIITs are mostly run on Public-Private partnerships and thus all of the MHRD orders are not directly applicable on IIITs. Thus IIITL does not provide any fee waiver to any category student let alone 100%. You can still apply for state-funded scholarships as well as easy student loans under Vidya Laxmi Scheme of the central govt.
Answering your second query, IIIT L IT closed around 6800 SC rank for IT. As observing the first round closing ranks for IT and CSE which were in 3000s, You can expect a seat in 4th to 7th round especially in later rounds when there is a spike in closing ranks. Your case would still be considered borderline as the awareness among students about IIITL has increased which has resulted in more number of students going for it. I wish you luck with your future.
Thank You
Hi ! Yes, you can get any of one such college. IIIT Karnataka is a mediocre college which you can get after some rounds in Jossa counselling. If not then also don't worry because you will get it through mop up round, because vacancies are always there. Getting nit Karnataka is bit tough with this rank. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.
Well brother, I can understand your situation. I know you have worked hard for JEE mains but I believe with 22k category rank you won't be getting decent college which I can recommend you.
Though with SC and home state quota, there might be an increased chance of your's getting a seat but with such a rank it is very hard to get.
As, opting a very low rank NIT/GFTI core branch will bring nothing good for you.
So, I would suggest you to prefer state engineering colleges. Some state eng. colleges are way better than even mediocre ranked NIT
Also, I would recommend you to do take part in JoSAA and go to through all the round even the spot round. May be, some good fortune can turn your destiny.
Thank You
greetings,
honestly it doesnt really matter where you do your btech from as both are top colleges. however i would suggest iiit lucknow.

hey ravi
kindly mention your crl rank as well as it is difficult to predict your rank from your percentile .however you have very less to get any nit or iiit or gftis but the i think you should have already seen the josaa mock round seats . also the first round has been alloted .however if you are asking then i think should get colleges like .however you can get admissions in some private colleges accepting jee mains rank like thapar university ,netaji shunhas university ,haldiya institute of technology etc
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
Though your question is unclear I would like you to know this. Firstly, indian Institutes of Information Technology(IIITs) are a group of institutes of higher education in India, focused on information technology.
And five of them are established, funded and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The rest are set up on the public-private partnership model.
Difference between IITs & IIITs?
IITs are better. IIIT is also good but when compared to IITs it will have low rank. Entry to IIT is through the iit-jee, while for IIIT it is done through AIEEE/JEE Mains score. Both are top institutes to pursue engineering education but IIT should be preferred first than IIIT.
There are currently 4 IIITs that are well known in India:
Thank You & All the best!
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
There are special lab like IOT Lab and VLSI lab present in campus. Campus is wifi enabled also libraries of iiit bhubaneswar has more than 12000 book campus area is decent 21 acers which is good enough to travel fast and rome around campus
