This college has everything that a good engineering college should have. It has separate blocks for every department. It has wide spaced classroom. It has all kind of laboratories and laboratory equipment. It has a Central Library and Reading Hall and also A.C. Reading Hall apart from Non-A.C. one. It has sports ground for outdoor sports and Student Activity Center for Indoor Sports and gym.Hostel is available for both boys and girls and WiFi is also provided with limit of 1 G.B.
Average quality of teaching. Teaching Staffs are well qualified but few don't teach well. Apart from it syllabus is as per AICTE and sufficient to make student placement ready. In my stream that is Mechanical Engineering teacher are very supportive and helpful. You can reach them even out of the class if you have any problem related to course and subject.
This is a part where our college lag behind and root cause is its remote location. Big Companies don't visit our campus generally. For Mechanical Students companies like Hindustan Unilever, Godrej, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Ralson, Greenply etc visit our campus. Average placement is 3.5 lakh per annum.
Fee is 31,500 per semester including hostel + 2,500 (approx) per month for mess. I think education is provided at really good cost because most of the college charges more than what our college charges. So, I am satisfied with fees.
Campus life is good. Various events and fest are organised. College is away from city so no distraction source is here. Our Campus is Clean, Green and Safe Campus.
SLIET have a very good infrastructure. It has a lush green campus of 451 acres which is quite big. There are total 9 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel in the campus. All the hostels have their own WiFi. Students have an access to the WiFi by using the login id provided by the college. There is also a sports activity center for students where various sports can be played, also it has 2 gyms in it. The living spaces is also very hygienic in SLIET campus.
I am currently a student of B.E Computer science. The professors teaching at SLIET are from various IITs and NITs. Few teachers have experience in teaching in abroad. Almost all the professors, associate professors have PhD. the curriculum is designed according to norms of AICTE and is updated regularly.
The placement in SLIET is average at this time because the college is situated in the very remote area of Sangrur district, Punjab, but the scenario is changing and various companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant are coming because the of the skills of the students studying here. Many alumni of SLIET are working in big companies at a respectable post. Also, companies like Dell and Adobe have decided to come for placement in next sessions.
SLIET is government funded technical institution so its fees is very less as compared to private colleges in India. The total fees of B.E program is less than 4 lakhs. Taking all the facilities and infrastructure it is true value for money.
The campus life is very good at SLIET. It has a campus of 451 acres which is quite big. Also, the campus has 2 lakes where migratory birds came during the winter season. Also, the campus has 2 grounds for sports activities, where you can play games like cricket, football, lawn tennis, basketball. the grounds have courts for each game. The campus is very safe and no outsiders can enter without permission.
The huge and green campus of the college makes you near to the nature. Various types of insects and plants can be seen there. The quiet campus helps in concentrating on studies and keeps your mood happy and energetic. The central library has thousands of books which you can read without any boundation. Also, the WiFi provided to students have an amazing speed of 1mb/s, which is quite good.
Yes, the college infrastructure is very nice and good. The classrooms are well- equiped with projectors. There is wifi connection available in the classrooms and the hostel. There is a library with huge number of books.
I am pursuing B.tech from this college. The teaching quality is excellent. Yes, the course curriculum is updated every year. The syllabus includes all the recent development in the field. The study makes the students job ready.
The quality of the placements are the best. More than 80% of the students were placed last year. The highest package till now was 18 LPA and the average salary package range between 3-4 LPA. Many top companies visit the campus for placements.
The fees is not very high. The college provides scholarships and compensation to students. The fees of my course is around 1,60,000 per year including tution, mess and hostel. I do feel that the fees is worth.
The campus life is really great here. The campus is very big. The environment of the college is good. There are a lot of things to do. Workshops and seminars are conducted for students.
The college is very good.
College is a bit old fashioned but all govt facilities are present. All necessary amenities are provided inside the college except technical repair shops. The weather is extreme in all seasons. Facilities are sufficient but could do better with more. There are a few smart classes. College is clean and lush green. There is NCC. A not well maintained stadium and the common sports equipment is available. There are enough hostels to accommodate all outsiders. No PGs are available nearby.
Academics are just like any other college. There are lecturers who will help while most don't care. Only a few lecturers will keep you interested in the subject. Academics is all about self learning. Also you will have to develop your own skills. Self learning is the only way in this college. There are clubs of students which do teach a lot of things though.
Placements and packages offered are not at all good as the location of college is extremely remote. Chemical and mechanical students might get good opportunities but others most probably won't. To get a good opportunity, you will have to go off campus and search elsewhere. However you have ample time to prepare for competitive exams given that you work hard. But then again there are no coaching centres nearby but you can take online lectures and the college does have a good internet facility.
College is cheap and affordable. The total cost including the mess and hostel fee accounts to RS 81K per annum. Remaining would be your own expenses. Basic amenities are available inside the college itself.
Campus is good and beautiful. The security mostly consists of ex-army personnel. No outsiders are allowed inside the college. The girls have a separate hostel area with 3 hostels inside a compound wall with their own basketball courts. Each hostel has its own mess. It is mandatory for girls to be inside the compound of their hostels between 7PM to 6AM in summers and 6PM to 6 30 AM in winters. There is a small medical facility which has pretty basic equipment. Faculty live inside the campus too.
Students are not so well behaved and destructive.
The campus infrastructure is very impressive. There are separate buildings for each department. The labs are very impressive and have latest technologies. Whole campus is provided and wifi and the wifi has a great speed. There are several parks inside the campus.
There are only some teachers who are concerned about the studies whereas others don't. There are also no regular classes. The curriculum is updated but it doesn't make students industry ready. Students should be provided with practical knowledge.
The placement is poor in the college. Only about 50% of students get placement but it is increasing year by year. The companies like Mahindra, Infosys, sonalika and many more come for placements with limited jobs.
The fee of my college is 70,000 per year and it is value for money as I don't think no other college has such a low fee.
The campus life for students is awesome as many cultural fest, sports events and many technical events are organised every year. There are many parks in which students can hangout with there friends without any restriction.
This college taught me many things which were helpful for me.

Till now the placement is not very nice . But our placement cell is working to make it better . Average placement is 3.5 lakhs per annum . Highest placement privious year was 8 lakhs per annum . Companies like TCS , Infosys visit our campus .
Outstanding , I think it really worth the money I pay . It has all the facilities a good college should have . Its one semester fee is only 30,500 including hostel apart from mess fee which is 2,500 per month approx.
Campus life is very nice , most of students are good and supportive . Faculties are also very supportive . College has various kind of technical and non-technical clubs to get engage in . Location is remote but inside its campus , it is very safe .

It has a central library which has number of books and also computers for students. It has a big sports ground and a student activity centre . Hostels are nice and WiFi also available with a limit of 1 GB per day. Hygenie is priority of this college .
Some faculties are quite impressive but still there are few who don't teach well . Talking about curriculum it is as per AICTE guidelines . The study here focus on gaining knowledge and placement as well .
Placement of recent years were not very impressive but we can say institute has average placement . In numbers almost all the students get placed but only few manage to get package over 6 lakhs per year . The highest placement of last year was 8.2 lakhs per annum .
It is a good college as you have to pay only 30,500 per semester Including hostel . Apart from it you have to pay mess fee around 2,500 per month . In this low amount you can have a wonderful college with all the facilities .
Campus has lot of trees , plants and birds . It is a beautiful campus . Faculties and students both are very nice and supportive . This institute has number of technical and non-technical clubs to get involved in and enhancing your skills . Various events and two major fest get organised in this college every year .
Very Good .
College has clean and green campus , it has proper classrooms and all the laboratories required . A huge Central Library with books and journals over all the topics and a few on literature too . It has sports facilities , separate hostels for boys and girls , hostels are also clean and hygienic and food quality is also good .
Average level of teaching , most of the teachers are well qualified and can also teach well but some don't have teaching skill . According to me Curriculum requires a bit improvement since most of the institute teaching python to first year , we still have to study basic C and some more improvement is required . I think the study in this college is sufficient to make us job ready.
The recent placement record show it has an average quality of placement . But it is because of students and college location because our training and placement department working actively for making placement good . In CSE almost every student gets a job whether the salary can be low and high . The average placement of our college is 3.5 lakhs per annum .
Great , you are going to have nice facilities at very low expenses . It cost me 30.5k per semester including hostel fee. Mess charge is approx 2.5k per months .
Amazing . Clean and Green Campus , with nice students and teachers . All are supportive and campus is ragging free . It is very safe but location is remote . It has various clubs to invest your time in and learn new things . It also organises various fest and events time to time .
Good
It is good but not much , it has old fashioned classrooms only few have projectors and some smart classes to. Library is also old fashioned but technology is upto date . In CS branch laboratories are fine. In this college we also have sports centre and gym . Hostels are hygienic but again old fashioned rooms. WiFi available but has a limit of 1GB per day. Food is hygienic but oily .
I am studying CSE here as it is the best branch in this college rest come after it. In this college is not very impressive , mostly students have to depend on YouTube and other sources for studies . Curriculum is updated time to time . Study is job oriented but teaching quality is not good .
Placement is also not very fine . Talking about numbers most of students from our college get placed in one or another company but talking about salary package , it is not very fine . The average placement is 3.5 lakhs per annum . Some get packages arround 8 lakhs per annum then some are here also who only get 2 lakhs per annum. So it mostly depends on student labour. Talking about companies in CSE Infosys , TCS etc visit our campus and also few small IT companies visit our campus.
Good , as it only cost 30,500 per semester apart from mess fee which is 2500 per months.
Great , one thing you can find here is a safe and peaceful atmosphere with green plants and variety of birds . Students can join various technical and non - technical clubs associated with college for various fun , scholastic and co-scholastic activities. Teaching and non teaching staffs both are very supportive and as I told it is completely safe and yes it has capabilities to handle emergencies , it has number of guards and staffs for that.
Good college if you are not getting any prestigious colleges.
Hello Aspirant,
Unfortunately the answer to your question is no as Admissions in Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is based on JEE exams as well as SLIET CET.
Hope this helps!!
Hello dear,
Bachelor of Technology average course fees in all over India including private colleges of the country vary between 50,000 rupees to 4,00,000 rupees per year which is variable depending upon B Tech specializations and colleges in which you are taking your admission.
It may even be less than 50,000 rupees per year in Government Engineering Colleges for the students whose annual family income is less than one lakh rupees and other category students like EWS/OBC/SC/ST.
I hope it will help you. Thankyou.
Hello,
Quality education at a lower cost.
Placements: In college, placements are adequate. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and a few local organisations are among the college's recruiters. This year's highest package was 23 L p. a., while the average package was around 4 L p. a. Around 80-90 percent of students were placed in classes where they were not eligible. The branch of computer science has the most placements, followed by ECE, EE, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Food. The lack of internship opportunities is concerning, and the college's placement division is attempting to address it.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and knowledgeable in their subjects. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is current and is updated on a regular basis to meet the needs of the industry. Final-year students can also participate in a 15-day industrial training programme to prepare them for the workforce. Semester exams are held on schedule and are adequate in testing students' knowledge and abilities. Approximately 90% of students receive passing grades on their semester exams.
Other: I picked Computer Science and Engineering because I enjoy working with software and want to learn about new technologies. My only suggestion is that the course include additional laboratories; otherwise, everything is fine. Every year, the college hosts several events such as techFest, Madhuram, and others. Campus life is really pleasant, and I appreciated the campus' infrastructure and flora. Every year, scholarships are awarded to deserving students.

Hope you got your answer
Infrastructure: The course has been updated to meet the needs of the industry. The infrastructure is excellent. Students have appropriate space in the classrooms, and proper sanitation is provided. Classrooms also have modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and smart monitors. The laboratories are in fine working order. In addition, the college includes a central library with sufficient books to meet the demands of students. The hostel facilities is really decent and reasonably priced. For some days, mess food is great, and for others, it's just okay. The college includes both indoor and outdoor stadiums for sports. Every hostel also has badminton courts for mental refreshment. SLIET health clinic is also available for minor medical requirements.
