Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Community Medicine and Public Health
The eligibility criteria for admission into Community Medicine and Public Health courses are like most other undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates must satisfy the criteria to be eligible for the admission.
For undergraduate courses: The students should have completed and passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board in the country and should have an aggregate of minimum 50%.

For M.D. in Community Medicine: The students applying for this course should have been passed in MBBS or its equivalent degree recognised by the Medical Council of India, and they should have an eligible NEET PG Score as prescribed by MCI.
For a Ph.D. in Public Health:- The students applying for this course must have completed post-graduation in the field of Community Medicine and Public Health in the same or related fields with a minimum aggregate score of 55% and qualify the entrance test.
Community Medicine and Public Health entrance exam
The admission to this course happens on both the merit basis as well as on Community Medicine and Public Health entrance exam basis. NEET PG: It is a common national level entrance test for medical post-graduate programmes (MD/MS/Diploma)
AIIMS PG: It is a national level entrance test exam which is conducted for the admission of MD, MS & MDS courses and is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The rankings of this exam hold good for around 17 different universities.
NET: The National Eligibility Test is the test for assessing the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges. It is conducted for the postgraduate students who are applying to pursue their Ph.D.
Other exams specifically designed for B.A course include DU (Delhi University) BA Entrance Exam, NCDC (National Centre for Diseases Control) BA Entrance Exam, JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) BA Entrance Exam, JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) BA Entrance Test, etc.
