Candidates must be at least 17 years old.
The Eligibility Criteria for PG courses is as follows:
Candidates should hold an MBBS degree to pursue MD or MS and BDS degree to pursue MDS from an institution that is recognised by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
Rotating internship of a duration of 1 year should be completed by the candidate.
A minimum aggregate of 55% should be there in MBBS for the people in general category and SC/ST at least 50% in the same.
Entrance exams for Internal medicine in India
To get into internal medicine, one has to complete MBBS. It stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

1. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)
It is commonly known as NEET-UG. It is for students to pursue MBBS.
2. All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS
Earlier AIIMS MBBS was conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences. However, now the admission is based on NEET UG scores only.
Entrance exams for Internal medicine (PG)
The entrance exams are held for this course on both the national and state level. There are some exams like NEET PG, which are widely accepted by the colleges around. 1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIIMS PG)
This exam is commonly known as AIIMS PG. It is a national level exam conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi for the people interested in post-graduation.
2. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET PG)
This examination is one of the most accepted entrance exams in this field. It is commonly known as NEET PG. The examination is conducted in 162 cities of India. The mode of examination is online, and it lasts for 210 mins.
3. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Research (JIPMER)
This exam is commonly known as JIPMER. The mode of examination is online, and the medium is English. The types of questions asked are multiple-choice questions. A candidate scores 4 marks for a correct answer and loses one mark for the wrong answer.
4. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER)
The exam is commonly called as PGIMER and is conducted by Chandigarh. The students are given multiple-choice questions, and the mode of examination is computer-based.
5. All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test
This examination is commonly known as AIAPGET and is conducted by NTA. It is a computer-based examination, and the medium is Hindi or English.

Internal medicine is a field of practice concentrated on treating adults. Doctors prevent, identify, and treat diseases that affect all adults, from chronically ill patients, to short time care. On an average the salary is around 1.5 lakh per month and varies depending on where you work, how hard you work , years of experience and extra qualification. An experienced MD in internal medicine can earn 4–5 LPM , while a fresher may get 1–1.2 LPM. It is not necessary to do DM after one completes MD, but one can do it if he wants to have more salary.

Thank you for your query. If you want to study in USA you need to first get through IELTS with a score of atleat 7-8 in academic overall. Then you have to pass the medical exam in USA which is required to being qualified to get for a course on Internal medicine.
