IIIT Guwahati Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Around 400 students are accommodated at the boys' hostels along with dining rooms, recreational facilities, attached restrooms, and others as needed by the students. Water and electricity supply around the clock along with fast accessing internet connection is available. Different cultural and festival activities are celebrated to have a friendly atmosphere.

Shared and single rooms are there at the hostels for the students along that other basic amenities. Incoming and outgoing students strictly adhered to the timings. For the proper functioning of all things, wardens visit the hostels. Rooms are refurbished with necessary basic amenities. Around 100 students are accommodated at the hostels.

The institute is provided with a health centre wherein the students can reach the site for the first aid facility. When the need for an emergency arises students are provided first aid facilities at affordable prices.

There are around 1214 volumes of books published and various e-journals subscriptions from ACM, JSTOR, and IEEE along with 218 papers and 3698 conferences. There are research papers, newspapers, academic reference books, literature books, and magazines. 

The annual techno-cultural sports fest “Yuvaan” is conducted to give equal opportunities to girls and boys. Students are encouraged to participate in various fields of sports. There are various other sports such as basketball, football, badminton, and others.

High-speed LAN and wifi at the campus round the clock 24*7 which gives campus-wide connectivity. National Knowledge Networks which ensures a 1Gbs connection is a part of IIIT Guwahati.

Appropriate and fixed timings for the students to dine at the mess/cafeteria. As students come from all over the nation they are provided with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items to satisfy their interests. Students, staff and faculty members can avail of the facility at affordable rates.

To conduct events, seminars, guest lectures, and cultural and non-cultural activities are conducted at the auditorium. State of the art architecture of the auditorium gives the students a good ambiance.

Students can reach the campus through the transport facility provided by the university which puts them at ease to commute. Students, staff and faculty members can avail the facility at the affordable prices.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

Students are given fast accessing internet connection around the clock at 24*7 all around the campus along with LAN and Wifi connection.

Students are provided with departmental laboratories to have practical exposure to the subjects. Laboratories such as Signal processing labs, communication labs, Microwave engineering labs, Embedded systems labs, VLSI labs, robotics labs,  and design digital labs are present at the institution.
