Teachers are truly remarkable individuals. Although I may not be aware of their qualifications, their teaching techniques are highly commendable. They have the ability to simplify complex questions and provide clear explanations. This course is designed to prepare students for the industry, making it highly relevant. If we put in the effort to study diligently, we can overcome the challenges posed by semester exams.

At IIT ISM Dhanbad campus life is an unforgettable journey of discovery, growth, and connection, where academic pursuit meets personal transformation. Overall campus is amazing full of greenery and pollution free environment.

The facilities and infrastructure are excellent. Labs are properly equipped and are assisted by well-qualified teaching assistants, and also neatly arranged and maintained. Wi-Fi is good. Classrooms are large enough to accommodate around 150 people for now, but still, a new building construction is happening which can accommodate more people. Coming to the library, we have the Central Library which is Asia's second-largest technical library. It has 7 floors, one complete floor is dedicated to the reading hall. Almost every preferred book can be found there along with magazines and newspapers. Moreover, the library is properly maintained with high security.

Teachers here are really good and very helpful and supportive towards students. They are highly qualified. Obviously, entering into IITs as a professor is really challenging, and they are very knowledgeable. Teaching here is perfectly planned and goes on with a system. The course curriculum is very much relevant which not only focuses on technical skills, but as an engineering student, all the things which you must learn are really taught. This boosts confidence in students about their capabilities, making them industry-ready. Semester exams are not that easy, obviously, but not so difficult to fail. So mostly in semester exams, the questions are based on what professors taught in class, but after joining engineering, we don't listen to classes that much, which makes semester exams a little difficult. But the competition is very high since all are IITians. The pass percentage is around 90%.I joined iit ism for my PhD in electronica engineering.

Starting with the batch and course, it's perfectly fine. When I applied, I wasn't this sure about the course or college. But after I joined, seeing the environment of IIT, I assured myself that I had taken the right decision. Talking about placements, around 75% of students in our course got placed. Around 5-10% are interested in civil, and 5% of the remaining students have already started startups. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Microsoft, Barclays, Sprinklr, Bajaj, PhonePe, Flipkart, Tata, Zepto, UltraTech Cement, Accenture, ICICI Bank, Amdocs, Axis Bank, Reliance, Beehyv, Jindal Steel and Power, Maruti Suzuki, Uber, etc. These are the top recruiting companies for our course. Obviously, IITs mainly focus on all-round development. Every student goes on with their interest, so main roles are like product engineer, data analyst, machine learning students, etc. The highest package for our course on campus is 58 LPA, and the lowest could be 9-10 LPA. The average package would be 18-23 LPA. Around 30-40% of students got internships from our course.For our course I pursued PhD from here so the students who is with us want to join as assistant professor.

One of the best iits in Jharkhand

Definitely, it is one of the premium Institute of the country. And it's infrastructure needs to be good. And it is very much good. Their are almost all facilities for the students, mess food is also eatable... Wifi is also available at high speed.

Academics and the curriculum both are very nice at my college. The faculties are very communicative and hard working they teach what is required to the students. Their are sports in our college yearly, and a lot of events like tech fest etc..

Amazing placements opportunities even in the lower branches as I myself from mining branch and their are some good opportunities for me also. For the top branches the lpa reaches more than half a crore..

The library is one of a kind, with all the necessary atmosphere to study well. The newly constructed hostels are very modern and the classrooms are very good too. It has AC, ergonomic chairs, hi speed wifi, study rooms etc.

Academics is good. And most professors show interest in teaching and clearing doubts if you show interest. They provide relevant study materials and books if you ask for studying. The focus on other fields like humanities and mba for engineering students is also good.

Placement in the IT sector is very good. But for core areas a lot of companies don’t come. So if your interest lies there you will have to do further research. Professors may help you in pursuing higher studies, but companies for core is limited.

For the fees: the mess, hostel, facilities are excellent. I had to pay about 11 lakhs for 4 years including mess hostel and tuition. Food is manageable although you may want to order out on some days. There’s something called ISM discount where any restaurant in Dhanbad gives 10% discount for you, and that saves a ton pf money.

This is the best PART. ISM culture is one of a kind experience and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The senior junior bonding, relationship with club mates and classmates grows beautifully in ISM because of the way it’s culture is maintained. You can only understand this once you join college. PS dont think of it as ragging, it is just an “interaction”

The infrastructure of the campus is decent, with new academic buildings and old hostels. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment, and all amenities are available. There are books available in the library for all the semesters. In laboratories and classrooms, there are smart board facilities, and Wi-Fi is available with a speed of 30–40 Mbps.

Academics of the Indian Institute of technology Indian schools of mines dhanbad is upto date . The curriculum is relevant and facilities are well educated. There will be a midterm and an end term for each semester. The exams are not too difficult. The pass percentage is 30 percent.

The placement of this college is good, it was approximately 75 to 90 percent students got placed every year. Almost 84% are placed, and 76% of students got their internship from many famous companies.
