IIT Bhilai Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

Currently, we are on the temporary campus, So there are only 2 hostels, along with 2 messes and 1 academic block for all classes. There are 2 huge lecture halls, many tutorial and other classrooms. Our college provides a very good Wi-Fi facility in our hostel. The food served in our mess is not appreciable. Sports activities are conducted. Our college environment is quite good .

Faculty members here are well qualified and helpful, but their teaching skill is not that effective. So it depends on students what kind of teacher they prefer. Our course curriculum is very relevant and is inspired by the Massachusetts Institute of technology. Lectures are friendly with students but they lack in some knowledge.

In this semester, almost 90% of the students were placed with the highest salary package of 19 LPA and the average salary package of 10 LPA and the lowest salary package of 6 LPA. The top recruiting company for our course was Amazon. We also got placements in other IITs under other those professors who are from IITs and NITs. Recruiters are mainly from Multi national companies.

There are three hostels in total, one outside the campus that has its own night-canteen. Apart from this, we have 2 canteens on campus that provide very good food at decent prices. We have a health care centre, and doctors visit there everyday. Facilities for many games like table-tennis, badminton, cricket, football and athletics are available.

All the professors at IIT Bhilai are highly qualified and have a PhD degree from top universities in the world. Courses offered at IIT Bhilai are very good and relevant. Courses are taught by highly qualified professors, and there are also separate tutorial classes for each course in a week.Teachers are very young and knowledgeable. Although the curriculum can be hectic because of the fractal system we borrowed from IIT Hyderabad.

The placements are going on an excellent pace considering the third ever placement season of this institute is going on right now. Just after 1-2 years of passing out many of our alumni and even seniors currently in college have gotten jobs and internships in the dream companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft. People have qualified for GSOC, several people are doing very well in competitive coding.placement cell has provided us with excellent training so that we can crack any interview.

The hostel facility is somewhat temporary based and not up to the mark but while shifting to the new campus it's a very clear and neat ambience with full Wi-Fi and cooling facilities good room facilities and mess things which are up to the mark for an IIT.Food quality in the mess is average, and it is very good on some days. Faculty and staff are very interested in teaching and interacting with students regarding studies and research development also they are known to explain everything which gives students a way to interact with them peacefully which gives much interest in the subject.Semester exams conducted in our college are difficult. They make students ready to face problems in the future.

Placement Cell is very enthusiastic about bringing new companies to the campus for placements. The average package is about 13 LPA in this recession time which is more than that of many institutions in the country and easy to do things here than that in others.Around 90% of students get placed in our college. Top recruiting companies are Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Tesla, and Accenture. Interviews are taken by them.

The infrastructure at IIT Bhilai is not that good now, and the new campus is supposed to ready around 2024. Currently, the campus area of IIT Bhilai is around 35 acres, and the new campus is building in around 450 acres. Most of the sports facilities at IIT Bhilai are available, like basketball, badminton, etc. and the college environment is well and good,library facility is also available here

All the professors at IIT Bhilai are highly qualified and have a PhD degree from top universities in the world. Courses offered at IIT Bhilai are very good and relevant. Professor are very professional towards their subject. Courses are taught by highly qualified professors, and there are also separate tutorial classes for each course in a week.professors are very friendly with us.

The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA last year, and the average salary package offered was 11 LPA. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Bosch, Deloitte, Samsung, etc. Around 49% of the students got internships in various companies like Bosch. Placement statistics at IIT Bhilai in the CSE branch are quite well. Placement cell preparation was also very helpful to the student to crack the interviews from MNC's.

Here We have pretty good computer boards.Coming to the campus infrastructure, its the best. This is not to say the staying accommodation isn't comfortable and we have all the basic facilities land canteens but you wouldn't get the swimming pools and squash courts like you imagine in IITs. But the permanent campus construction is on good pace and the shift might happen in late 2022 ,so all of this wouldn't be relevant in 1 year because as far as I know the permanent campus is very big and beautiful, it'll remind you as your own home

Teachers are very young and knowledgeable. Although the curriculum can be hectic because of the fractal system we borrowed from IIT Hyderabad. The experience of 2020 batch has been extra rough in this regard because our semesters were 4-5 months long because of the Covid circumstances and them waiting for the right time to call the students offline.

Academic building is fully furnished with air conditioners and it has high-speed Wi-Fi network in the whole building as the campus is not the permanent campus of IIT Bhilai, it is managed from the building of government engineering college, Raipur, library has so many books of almost all necessary topics, and also has a UPSC corner for UPSC aspirants, sports facilities are also available such as badminton, football, volleyball, basketball, etc. And hostel has good Wi-Fi connection and mess food is average but environment is greenery with many trees

All the teachers are very supportive and helpful, and the way of teaching is amazing, the curriculum of course is very relevant and it makes the student ready for practical work, despite the theoretical knowledge.You need to complete 30 credits in one semester as the whole B.Tech course is of 240 credits.faculty is very friendly with students and has a very good knowledge on their subject.

More than 75 percent of students got placed in companies like Amazon, Google, Paytm etc., and the highest package during this session is 31.9 lac and the lowest is 7 lac per annum, and the average package is around 12 lac. And the highest package of last year was around 20 lac, means growth of 10 lac in a year. Recruiters are mostly from big Mnc's .

The infrastructure of BHILAI institute of technology is very good and nice looking. And very clean ground, floors, and room. I give a 5-star rating for this college infrastructure. there are so many trees and very good facility for students.very cool environment

Faculty of Bhilai institute of technology durg college are very friendly and cool and having the best teaching experience and good knowledge of their subject and they also motivate to improve our other skill along with our studies. Faculty is always fair towards students here and before the exam all teachers complete their course in time.

The placement of our college is very good.companies coming in college are TVS, BYJU's, PANASONIC, CAMPAIGN, etc. And the salary packages are satisfactory. The package ranges from 3lakhs to 11 lakhs.all student are very happy. And CSE students get more jobs compared to other core branches

Facilities and infrastructure available for classrooms, labs and library are good. Some part of the hostels are not good mainly in rainy season . The quality of food in the mess is average, but medical facilities are good. Sports facilities are average as our permanent campus is not ready.wifi facility is 24×7

Courses are designed accordingly, and this is followed by IIT Hyderabad. It is a new system, and students are independent to take courses of their choice. Some of the industry-relevant courses are blockchain, electronic payment systems, cryptography, etc. Faculty is well and good .Faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also good.

We are the 2nd batch to join the institute after its opening in 2016. Lots of companies have visited here for placements, and some of them are Amazon, VMware, Commvault, Air Asia, Paytm, Jio, Radisys, Media.Net, Sterlite, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, LTI and CDAC. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 35 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the average salary package offered would be around 12 LPA. Almost 50% of the students got internships in companies like Amazon and VMware.placement training is also well and good

The institute is currently running from its temporary Campus in Raipur which is about 30 km away from the permanent Campus which is being constructed in Bhilai. In our temporary Campus, we have a health centre, chemistry lab, physics lab, computer centre, Electrical lab, Mechanical workshop and Wi-Fi facilities in hostels and main building.campus is surrounded with good environment with no pollution

All teachers are well qualified and well experienced.Each semester we have three exams instead of two. So the course is divided into three small parts which reduces the burden to some extent and is quite helpful.Faculty is good with knowledge on the subject.

Average package of last placement session was 14-15 LPA. In which most of the students preferred non-core sector. More than 90% students, who registered for placement got placed with decent package, Recruiters are from MNC's like Amazon,L&T,UIDAI,Radisys etc.,
