Nit Agartala has a great Infrastructure with huge campus area around 370 acer. Its boys hostels are very good having all the necessary facilities. Some of the boys hostels are RNT and Arryabhata for BTech students. And for girls,Gargi hostel is there which also very good.Room are good and having all basic things like table, chair, fan, bed, almirah, etc.
If we talk about academics ,some professors are pretty good and some are boring. But all the professors are very supportive and helpful. As same as every engineering college if we study well then we will get good cgpa
Last year our campus placement is too notch.Around 80-90% students are placed in every branchs like CSE,EIE,ECE,EE,PE,ME.If we talk about EIE, highest package is 25LPA and average package is 12 LPA.So placement are good if you do coding well then you will get great placement
As we know NIT are funded by central government,so it's fees is very low with so many fees waviers.Total four year fees is around 7-8 lpa including hostel, academics, and lodging without any fees waiver. And avarage pakage is around10 lpa so is good valued for money.
Great college life with good weather.Good sports complex.
If you get any circuital branch here then you must join NIT AGARTALA without any hesitation.
Our College Infrastructure is really good! There are a lot of facilities including WiFi and a lot more. Our college is a lot big area with adequate amount of drinking water facility and proper electric power.
The Academics section of our college is very active , the procedure of conduction classes and way of teaching is really good and appreciateable. Proper maintenance of day to day class activity and proper guidance has been provided to us.
This factor has major positive side of our college, the rate of placement is increasing with time. A lot number of students are been placed in different companies with different roles. Training and Placement cells work really good in placements
Infact students can get scholarship as per there criteria and also our college provides fee wavier for students with lower family Income. Students are satisfied with the fee structure. Fee waiver is a good point for students who have low family income
Campus life is Average! Overall its good but when it comes to hostel its a bit disappointing specially in case of girls hostel due to shortage of room even the final year student gets double occupancy sometimes
Its good to be a part of our college and i recommend people to clear JEE MAIN with good marks to get a chance to be a part of this institution. Placements of our college are going really good and quite impressive.
It has all the facilities. The infrastructure is just perfect. Wifi is available around the campus. Students are able to get access to the wifi. Smart boards are also available. The hostels are new and hygienic with hygienic food.
I am pursuing B.tech in Electrical Engineering. It's my dream to pursue this field. The quality of teaching in here is quite good. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. And yes definitely this branch allows better placements.
The quality of placements are good at our college. Around 90% of the students were placed this year. The highest salary package was around 40LPA and it went to Computer Science branch. Average salary was around 11LPA. The placement process was easy and college is supportive.
My course cost was around 11000 in first year.
NIT Agartala has good infrastructure and a beautiful location and having a good hostel for boys and girls is like cherry upon cake. This institute takes admission via josaa counseling and CSAB also. Over the college is equipped with everything including labs and canteen and high tech classes.
The teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. But the teaching quality is average. They provide technical and quality education. The curriculum was good but it gives a fair idea about what happens in the industry.
In CSE department almost 100% students are placed in most of the years having at least one internship is also mandatory. The average package is around 4-5 lacs getting the highest package of more than 15 lacs.
Campus life was very fun with friends and events and other things like clubs and cultural fest. In this NIT have largest sports complex with different facilities with zero fees. There is a different club organized by seniors to learn new things.
I was quite amazed at the state-of-the-art architecture that has come upon the campus recently. The classrooms and hostels are also pretty decent as per NIT standards. The laboratories, workshops are all well equipped with modern facilities and newer equipment. The International sports complex is something to must-visit.
Some of the faculties are pretty good. Some are okayish. But, they are all very approachable in case of any doubts. We would also resort to group studies in time of exams. That peer-to peer learning is something which can work wonders.
In our days, it was pretty decent. I don't have knowledge regarding the current scenario. But, obviously, it is something they should improve, even though it has a location disadvantage. Some of the big MNC visited the campus in our times. Also, numerous PSUs lined up for placements.
Obviously, it would offer a great ROI.
in one word "Amazing". You would have to experience it yourself.
college is well occupied with all technical labs of various fields of engineering and science, 3 hostels are there 2 for boys and 1 for girls, RNT and Gargi hostel , i haven't visited college due to pandemic
currently I am pursuing Mtech in power electronics and drives , as of now online classes is going on but if I speak about quality of teaching as I am doing higher studies we have to study on our own teachers will guide you what to do
various core and IT companies visits campus, overall placements for ug and pg courses varies alot in UG course approx 90% students got placed but in PG only 20% students got placed and the avg package for UG was 4.5 lpa
38700 per semester and hostel and mess fee of 30000
college campus is huge and clean and green environment makes it ideal place for studies
As people expect by name that Agartala is situated in north east so they pre assumed that infrastructure is not going to be good, they are wrong. Don't judge just by location. College infrastructure is very good. For first year double bed rooms are there and from second year year onwards single bed room is there. Branch buildings are also well designed. In my opinion among North East colleges it has best infrastructure.
Well, according to our education system academics is good. In first year some problem you can face but from second year it is good. Quality of teaching is good but can be improved. Curriculums are updated
Don't know more internally, but placements is above average according to college situation. In Computer science and engineering branch maximum students got placed and in electronics, mechanical, electrical branch also.
Nope, value for money is there but as there are also some better nits with same fee structure, so somehow average can be said
Campus Life is jhakkas. We have biggest sports complex among all nits. Market, atm, bank everything is there in campus. Many clubs are also there. Teacher Student interaction is also good.
Yes, NITs are preferably one of the best engineering colleges of India. and yes, they have all the facilities required for a student starting from WiFi to libraries and sports. The NIT Agartala labs and classroom are very well maintained. The library has almost 99% of all the books one needs. The hostel living space and the food is hygienic and the taste is average.
I'm studying B.Tech in chemical Engineering. Actually I wanted to be an Engineer always so it was my passion and also want to make it my profession. The faculty is way too good and is very helpful. The best part is they always welcome the ideas of the students and gives their honest suggestions. Well, I will say that yes the curriculum is updated and also there is a huge fest where there are robo fights and students innovate and make different electric or solar powered things.
The quality of placement were very good and almost 90% of the students used to get placed. recently, there is a slight decline in the placement section. yet, the packages offered are very good and sufficient. A lot of them were placed at 10+ lakhs per annum while most of them were placed between 7-8 lakhs per annum. the placement process is lengthy like all engineering placements are. The teachers are very supportive and helps students a lot.
yes, studying there is completely worth the money. Students have to pay around 60-70 thousand per semester, with all the facilities provided in the fees. My course fee is 67 thousand per semester. And I'm satisfied with the college fees. This doesn't include the hostel fees.
The campus life is great and vibrant. Also the campus is very clean and most of it is newly built including the roads. A lot of workshops are happening these days. Also there are a lot of cultural fest like "moksha" and also there is a robotics club which is really cool called the " Asimov". So, overall the campus life is really great there.
NITs are one of the best colleges of the country and is highly reputed for the strict discipline, their lab and workshops and the knowledge they imposed to the students. NIT agartala is a great place and there is hardly any ragging, to be honest it has almost disappeared. So,overall it's a great place
It's a good college and maintaining classes and education online even in pandemic situation. The campus is 335 acre lush green. Almost every classroom ha smart class facility with only some core department workshops looking old. The hostel is newly made along with Library and CS, EIE, ECE and EE departments. The sports complex is recently made and on this 15th August the shopping complex is inaugurated.
As the institute of technology is of National level, faculties are knowledgeable. Most of them have PhD. Most teachers are old and very rigid with their teachings. But you can always rely on their knowledge of subject matter. The laboratories are very well in our department but teaching method leave room for improvement.
The remote location of Agartala is quite a hindrance for placements. Still dour to sheets brand and alumni network of the college, fore Companies do visit for placements, students of chemical engineering along with their preference in core Companies also go for IT sectors which creates ample opportunities for students.
The NIt branding and nearness to some core industries serve as a good value for money for the college. With the competition if National level of students, new ideas come and thus and college life spends in Nit Agartala leaves all of us with highly successful friends and seniors.
The campus has its own market, coffee shops, hospital and the best part is the sports complex. We also have a volunteering service , "we can" organization. A lot of service keep going for all week, day and night.
No
The college have all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. All the library, lab, and hostels are well maintained. The living space is pretty clean and the food is hygenic. Overall, it's pretty good.
I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. The quality of teaching is Ok. The professors are good and highly educated with a good experience in teaching. Though your efforts matters the most for better academics.
The quality of placement is average with a median of 6LPA. Many of my seniors did manage to get good paciages in PSUs and other IT Giants. The training and placement cell helps in you this. Just hoping for best.
Dear
According to the information securing a spot in an NIT can be quite competitive, but belonging to the ST category gives you certain advantages in the form of reservation policies. Based on previous years' cutoffs, with a 67 percentile in JEE Mains, getting into some of the top NITs might be challenging, but you may have a chance at NIT Agartala or other newer NITs.
Here are a few potential options you could explore:
NIT Agartala : Depending on the cutoffs for the ST category, you might have a fair chance.
NIT Sikkim
NIT Arunachal Pradesh
NIT Mizoram
NIT Nagaland

Hello Atul,
Main criteria to decide whether to choose Production Engineering at NIT Trichy or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at NIT Agartala also involve several factors.
NIT Trichy - Production Engineering: NIT Trichy is one of the most excellent National Institutes of Technology in India, better known for its academic excellence, along with good placement records. Studying Production Engineering at the place would open diverse career opportunities in manufacturing, operations management, and supply chain management. However, the institutes have always superior resources in the form of well-equipped labs and workshops. In most cases, a larger and more established alumni network can prove helpful in obtaining internships and job placements.
NIT Agartala - ECE: On the other hand, the field of ECE is highly in demand as it has applicatory use in nearly every sector nowadays, from telecommunication, robotics, to embedded systems. If you are one of those interested persons who always have passion for the electronics and communication technologies, then this specialization may be more appropriate to your interest. NIT Agartala - Though it becomes very popular among fresh engineering graduates now, yet it is not equal to that prestige of NIT Trichy.
In the end, you should probably choose that which mainly stimulates your interest, adds to your career ambitions, and presents the nature of the opportunities each program offers. Prioritizing what is of most excitement can lead to an even both educational and professional journey that is fulfilling.
