IIIT Pune Admission Process

IIIT Pune admissions are offered to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. IIIT Pune admissions are based on entrance test, conducted by a national authority or by the institute itself. IIIT Pune B.Tech selection process involves qualifying for the entrance exam JEE Main/MHT CET.

For IIIT Pune M.Tech admissions, the shortlisting of candidates will be through GATE score and written examination and/or interview conducted by the respective departments. The IIIT Pune Ph.D selection process is based on the GATE score and/or written test and/or interview conducted by the respective departments.

B.Tech	IIIT Pune B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Main examination. Candidates must apply for JoSAA/CSAB counselling for admission. Candidates must pay the academic fees for final admission.
M.Tech	Candidates must appear for GATE examination for IIIT Pune M.Tech admissions. Non-GATE participants can apply for entrance examination conducted by IIIT Pune and pay application fee of Rs 590 (Rs 295 for SC/ST/PwD).
Ph.D	Candidates must be eligible for IIIT Pune Ph.D admissions. Apply for the admissions through an online application form from the institute's website. Selected candidates will be called by the institute.

There are 2 specialisations of B.Tech provided by IIIT Pune namely, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

IIIT Pune B.Tech Admission Process 2025

The candidate should appear for the MHT CET/JEE Main examination and secure a valid score. Eligible candidates can apply for the B.Tech course by visiting the official website.
The candidate should meet the cutoff prescribed by the institute for admission to the B.Tech course.
The shortlisted candidate should attend the JoSAA/CSAB or the MHT CET counselling and based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination, the candidates will be shortlisted for IIIT Pune admissions.
The final selected candidates will be informed about seat allotment through a registered phone number or email ID.
Candidates should get the documents verified and pay the admission fee to confirm the admission.

IIIT Pune JEE Main Results 2024

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune JEE Main Results 2024 for Session 1 has been released by the National Test Agency (NTA) on February 12. Candidates can check the result and also the JEE Main 2024 answer key at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

IIIT Pune JoSAA Counselling 2024

Candidates seeking admission to IIIT Pune B.Tech courses should register themselves for JoSAA/CSAB Counselling. IIIT Pune JoSAA Counselling 2024 will tentatively commence on June 10 and a further detailed schedule to be released in June 2024.

IIIT Pune M.Tech Admissions 2025

The 2 M.Tech programmes offered by IIIT Pune are provided with specialisations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by the CSE department and the Internet of Things (IoT) by the ECE department. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria given below.

IIIT Pune M.Tech Admission Process 2025 (Non GATE)

Candidates are required to download the application form from the official website.
Eligible candidates are required to fill out the Google form provided by the institute along with combining all the documents into a single PDF and uploading it in the form.
Candidates have to pay a sum of Rs 590 (Rs 295 for SC/ST/PwD) as the application fee.
Selection of candidates will be done based on written tests and/or Interviews and qualifying the prescribed cutoff. (Note: Both GATE and non-GATE candidates can apply.)
Candidates qualified in written exams and interviews will be informed through email and have to bring documents at the time of admission to the institute.

IIIT Pune M.Tech Admission Process (GATE)

Candidates must take GATE 2025 and secure a valid score before registering in the CCMT portal.
After appearing for the GATE exam, candidates have to register online on the official website of CCMT. Candidates are required to enter personal details, GATE score and other details.
Upon successful registration and payment of the registration fee, the candidates will be able to fill and lock their choices of programmes in the order of their preference from the list of eligible programmes.
Afterwards, Candidates will undergo 3 rounds of counselling: Seat allotment, Seat Acceptance fee (SAF) and online document verification.
Merit for seat allotment will be prepared based on the GATE score of the year filled by the candidate. Candidates are required to clear the cutoff prescribed by the institute.
Once the seats are allotted to the candidates for the respective institute, candidates can verify their documents and confirm their admission.

IIIT Pune GATE Exam 2024

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune GATE Exam 2024 was conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The concerned authorities have recently released GATE 2024 answer keys on February 21, 2024. Candidates can check the answer keys at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

IIIT Pune Ph.D Admissions 2025

Candidates who have qualified CSIR UGC NET or have obtained the INSPIRE Ph.D fellowship can also apply for the IIIT Pune Ph.D programme. The eligibility criteria are given below.

IIIT Pune Ph.D Admission Process 2025

Candidates are required to fill out the application form through the official website. (GATE candidates are also required to do the same).
Candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 as an application fee for the application form.
The application form along with self-attested documents are required to be sent by speed/registered post to the institute. Also, the same is to be sent in a single PDF via email.
The PhD admission will be based on the GATE score and/or written test and/or interview by the respective departments. (For non-GATE candidates, a written test is conducted).
After the document verification and admission fee payment, the candidate is granted admission.

I am pursuing Btech in computer science.Some faculty are highly experienced and good, providing appropriate study material that can help us in exam But on the other hand some of them are new in the field with not much experience which adds a negative point for academics.

Academics are quite good. But many of our faculty are having less experience compared to other IIITs. Teachers are very interactive and will be available for you all the time. Seniors also teach you many things in the first year. They will help you in learning programming.

Quality of teaching is good here but in my opinion, I think it can be improved. I am currently studying Btech in Computer Science branch. Our curriculum is regularly updated and I think it also includes recent developments.

If we compare all of these IIITs then IIIT Nagpur will be my first preference for ECE the median salary offered by IIIT Nagpur branch was 16 lakh around ,then IIIT Nagpur the average salary around 14 lakh then IIIT trichy with average CTC 9.7 LPA.

which is better for CSE in IIIT pune or CBIT hyd?

Cbit Hyderabad is better than IIIT Pune. Mentioned below are the points of comparison between these two institutes:

Cbit Hyderabad has received various good rankings from NAAC, NIRF and many other institutions whereas iiit Pune has not got such rankings.
Cbit Hyderabad has highly experienced faculty with most of the teachers are having experience of 16 to 22 years. Iiit Pune faculty members have experience of less than 10 years.
The placement percentage of CBIT is almost 100% where is the placement percentage of IIIT Pune is 90%.
