NIT Nagaland Facilities

The university aims to provide the infrastructural needs of students in their learning and skill development processes. NIT Nagaland facilities include hostels, library, medical facilities, data centres, and much more. The NIT Nagaland has facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports.

Further, for accommodation of outstation students, the institute has individual hostels for boys and girls. Library
Presently, the central library of NIT Nagaland has a collection of more than 9,500 books and journals for its students and staff. It is fully digitalized, and books can be accessed by its students and staff. They can take references from books and journals written by scholars through research.
Boys Hostel
The institute has a separate hostel facility for boys. Mess facilities and recreational areas with 24 hours internet connectivity are provided to hostellers by the institute.
Girls Hostel
The institute has a separate hostel facility for girls. The hostel has a mess facility and 24 hours internet connection.
I.T Infrastructure
As a technical institute, students are provided with internet connectivity for carrying out their practical work effectively as one of the basic NIT Nagaland facilities. They design and implement securely connected network for classrooms and labs. It serves the educational needs of students and faculty by leveraging network and application control to increase teaching effectiveness and improve student outcomes.
Sports
NIT Nagaland encourages students to actively participate in sports activities for better physical health. The institute is equipped with sufficient sports facilities for several indoor and outdoor games. Indoor games include Badminton, Table-Tennis, Carom, and Chess, and outdoor games include cricket, football.
Medical/Hospital
Medical facilities with Doctors visitation is provided by the institute to its students and staff in case of any medical issues. An ambulance is also provided by the institute 24 hours for medical emergencies.
Banks/ATMs
The Institute has a satellite branch of State Bank of India (SBI) Chumukedima with ATM facilities to cater to the banking needs of students, faculty and staff.

College Infrastructure

Wi-Fi connection is good. Now the library is small and is in the administrative block. The two-story library is under construction,just beside the library.Medical facilities are available. 24/7 hot water is available in hostels. The daily hostel cleaning is done. sports are conducted every semester football ground was recently constructed.

College Infrastructure

We have everything in our college but it is not very big enough. We don't have smart boards. Although new buildings are under construction once they are built we will have completely new campus with more features.

See, if you consider brand value, then the value of National Institute of Technology, Agartala is unmatched. Moreover, the location of Agartala is also much better than that of Nagaland and more companies come for placement in NIT Agartala.
