NIT Jamshedpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Campus has a total of 13 hostels - 9 for Boys. Boys Hostels: Bhabha Hall of Residence (Hostel - C) Rajendra Prasad Hall of Residence (Hostel - D) Visvesvaraya Hall of Residence (Hostel - E) Shivaji Hall of Residence (Hostel - F) S C Bose Hall of Residence (Hostel - G) Abul Kalam Hall of Residence (Hostel - H) Hall of Residence - I (Hostel - I) Hall of Residence - J (Hostel - J) Hall of Residence - K (Hostel - K). All the necessary facilities are provided to them.

The College Campus has a total of 13 hostels 4 for Girls. Girls Hostels: Aryabhatta Hall of Residence (Hostel - A) Nirala Hall of Residence (Hostel - B) Rani Laxmi Bai Hall of Residence Ambedkar Hall of residence. Recreational facilities are available for the students. Wardens are also there to take care of the hostel students.

The NIT Jamshedpur Medical Facilities will be looking after the medical needs of the students and the employees. The medical facility is available 24*7 on the campus. Different groups of medical services monitor this.

It serves as a venue for most of the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in NIT Jamshedpur ranging from sports to socio-cultural. Gymkhana has played an important role in the everyday lives of the students and nurturing their extra-curricular talents.

The NIT Jamshedpur Library will be helping  the candidates have 24/7  access to the books as per their convenience. Different reading and stack rooms have been made for the students so that they are able to get the required learning material easily. To match up with the latest technology the library also has a digital facility to the books.

The University has sports facilities for all students. Both indoor and outdoor sports are available for the students. Games such as badminton, cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, etc are available for the students.

The NIT Jamshedpur Computer Centre  will be providing the students with all the updated and recent facilities of computing in the campus. Basically the computer centre functions in three different three types of services such as computational services, laboratory services as well as network services. Any of those who are part of the institute can use this facility.

The "Annapurna Canteen" was inaugurated by the Honorable Director prof. Rambabu Kodali on May 6, 2017. The Canteen is located beside the institute dispensary. Along with great food and good furnishing, the very ambience of the canteen is great for the students. Food rates are consessioned and with a handsome menu that suits the wants of the students, making the canteen a good place to comfort after the classes.

A Smart Seminar Room facility is available inside the campus.

NIT Jamshedpur works to cater to the causes involving alumni and students of the institute. I&AR committee endeavors to strengthen the alumni-institute relationship. NIT Jamshedpur welcomes all its alumni to relive their golden days.

The University has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

Always thronging with students is the NIT General Store situated in a corner of the main building. It takes care of the needs of the staff and students as diverse as stationery, packed food products and toiletries equally. Further the Institute has one Dairy shop near Computer Centre Building.

Institute has the RIT (Regional Institute of Technology) Branch of State Bank of India and ICICI within its premises with special counters to be availed by the staff and students of NIT, Jamshedpur The RIT (Regional Institute of Technology) Post Office is also located within the campus which staff and students can avail for all type of postal services.

The University has departmental based laboratories facility for the students. Power Electronics Laboratory Microprocessor Laboratory Electrical Measurement Laboratory Electrical Machine Laboratory Control System Laboratory

The NIT Jamshedpur Guest House facility is provided to all the students family and the guests who visit the institute for official purposes. It has well furnished rooms and all the amenities are ensured for the people visiting here.

Although the location of the college is residential, it offers the facility of a bus to the staff and the students. Thrice a day the bus runs from the bus stand to the location and vise versa. There are stoppages for the students to help them for smooth functioning.
