College Infrastructure

The college has limited Wi-Fi, excellent library with 10,000 plus books, and good classroom environment. The hostel facilities are excellent, and you get healthy food and water. Food will be provided both in South Indian and North Indian style. Medical Facilities are available. A canteen is available, but there is no night canteen. Maybe, there will be a tender that may pass on in the future. Sports facilities like basketball and volleyball courts are available.

awesome experience

Hi

hope you doing well

The cutoff for NIT Calicut varies each year and is influenced by the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the JEE Mains exam, and the available seats. You can check previous years' closing ranks for the SC category to gauge your chances.

Your chances can also depend on the specific branch you are interested in. Some branches might have higher cutoffs than others.

Counseling Process or admission is conducted through the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process. Make sure you participate in the counseling and fill in your choices wisely.

The overall competition and the performance of other candidates in the SC category will also play a significant role in determining the cutoff.

  • Check the JoSAA official website for the latest cutoff data and trends.
  • Contact the NIT Calicut admission office or refer to forums where past candidates share their experiences.

how much cut off in percentile to get in NIT Calicut mba admission

The Department of Management Studies, NIT Calicut offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme at the postgraduate level. The programme is offered with dual specialisation where students can opt for any two majors among the five specialisations. NIT Calicut MBA admission is based on percentile obtained by candidates in the Common Admission Test (CAT).

Based on the performance of candidates in the CAT followed by the GDPI process, the institute declares the merit list for selected candidates. There is no minimum CAT percentile stipulated by NIT Calicut. General category candidates who have obtained somewhere around 80 percentile in the CAT can apply for admission to the MBA programme. However, mere application does not mean a guaranteed call for the GDPI process.

Getting a GDPI call from NIT Calicut for the MBA programme is based on various factors such as number of candidates who have applied for admission. The CAT percentile could be less for the reserved category candidates. Although, the minimum CAT percentile required for admission is not stated by the institute, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for admission to the MBA programme as mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria for Regular Candidates : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University, with minimum 60% aggregate (or 6.5 out of 10 CGPA) for candidates who belong to General, OBC and EWS categories and 55% aggregate (or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for candidates who belong to SC/ ST category. Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored Category Candidates: (up to 5 students) Candidates sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA should forward their application through the proper channel. They must have a minimum work experience of three years in the sponsoring organisation, after graduation. Candidates with a valid score in the CAT/ CMAT or equivalent would be preferred. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the Personal Interview.

To know about the CAT percentile before the declaration of actual result, check CAT Percentile Predictor .
