Almost everything is available her in the campus and a large area is yet to be built later for many other facilities. Buildings and Hostels and other facility centres are well maintained as well. Hostel facilities need more improvement.
I'm studying ECE here and the quality of teaching isn't good.I don't feel quality is good in anywhere else in india as well. Curriculum is quite good but feels outdated sometimes. Sometimes i feel why i study these.
Apparently the placements are good here not great though. I've heard of average placement is around 8-10lpa for ECE students with highest package of around 20+ lpa to lowest of around 3lpa. Majority packages lies in 5-8lpa.
Not value for money after the covid19 situation where we were literally charged for everything we were not supposed to
best campus life only demerit is the presence of a nice restaurant but that does not keep it away from 5 star.
When we talk about NIT Rourkela,One of the best thing which cones to our mind ia its gret infrastructure which gives a good feel of college. Everything is great. Campus,Library facility, computer lab etc.
Academics not too good. But it's really not fare to judge a college in India on the basis of their Academics.Better to leave this criteria.Again if u ask its very poor as I have mentioned in the rating.
Placement is very good. Most of the software giant like Microsoft and Amazon come to recruit the students of NIT Rourkela. Even the non circuital branch3s have very good placement. Thus is really good.
Yes. We can say. Bcoz we get the facilities which requires more expense than we pay.Like if we talk about Library we olny have to pay 5000 for a qhole semester. Also electricity charge is included in Hostel Rent.
NITR has one of the best Infrastructure in the country. We have the tallest educational building of India namely “Golden Jubilee Building”. There are more than 10 hostels accommodating around 6000 students. The campus if full of greenery.
The Institute provides a great deal of focus on academics. The curriculum is reviewed every semester and is updated and includes all the recent development in the field. The professors are very well trained and experienced. The are very friendly and do cooperate the students. Various Research articles are produced every year.
Mora than 150 companies visit the campus every year. The quality of placement are also quite good. The highest CTC being around 42lpa and lowest being 2.5lpa. In total 909 job offers were given on campus on the academic year 2019-20. The average CTC is 8.75.
Having the 2nd largest and one of the best infrastructure in the country, we are satisfied with the fee we pay each semester to the college. For B.Tech students it is around Rs 93000 per Semester. We never had any felling that the Institute charges more
Students of or college actively participate in various Extra-curricular activities. We have more than 70clubs registered under the Student activity Centre. Around 9 fest are conducted every year in the campus in which students from all over the country do come and participate. Sports is also given high priority. There are facilities for Swimming, Basketball, and Football. Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, Kabaddi, Volleyball etc. and various Indore Games
Lots of opportunities in facilities and infrastructure are available in our department. Classrooms are in good condition and hygienic, and labs have every equipment required for the experiments. There is a good library with central air-conditioners, and all types of books are available. There are some issues with Wi-Fi like slow internet. Quality of food is average in our college. Canteen is the best place, and you can hang out with friends. Medical facilities are good and sports and games too
Because quality of teaching is good and teacher's also have great knowledge and And all staff and faculty are also well qualified they clear our doubt, conduct tutorials class for better understanding and are very helpful
In the previous academic year, i.e., in 2019-2020, the placement rate of EE branch in NIT Rourkela was 100%. In the current academic year, about 50% of the students got placed until now in top companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, SAP Labs, Schneider Electric, Goldman Sachs, etc. The highest salary package offered was about LPA, and the lowest salary package offered varies around 5 LPA-6 LPA. About 75% of the students got internships in top companies along with PPOs.18
For my course i pay almost 90,000 per yr including the mess fees, hostel fees and other. So i think yeah that worth the money, but they also take money compulsorily for activites which we might dont want to perfrom like swimming , gym ,etc.
Hostels have the Wi-Fi facility which is slightly slow ranging up to few mbps. The quality of food in the mess is not that great and many hostellers rely on the canteens which each hostel has where food is strictly average. From the medical facilities point of view, NIT Rourkela offers you a medical center which is open 24 X 7 which also includes an ambulance incase of emergency.there are so many grounds for basketball, badminton, football, cricket, volleyball etc and a very large swimming pool
As our college is one of the prestigious institute of INDIA. It contains all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. We have free lan connection, libraries etc and really they are very well maintained.
I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in mining engineering. And I am happy that I choose mining engineering at NIT ROURKELA , because professors are very good and they have practical knowledge too. So I think In coming future we will be ready to solve industrial problems .
Yes ,this is most important part. Placement is not same for every branch . But overall placements are good. Even in my branch sometimes there are 100% placement ( reason for this is low batch strength i.e 40 ug students).
As my family income is less then one lakh per annum . So it costs nearly 70k per year . Note: It includes all expenditure .
I remember before joining this college many of my friends said college life of NIT ROURKELA is awesome. After joing I felt words can't describe how much we enjoy in college. Only I will say "The 4 years of NIT ROURKELA will be golden time of my life".
I will recommend this college to my juniors . You can surely opt for this college . It will provide you best platform , from where you can achieve everything whatever you want.
In my college all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment are available. In my classrooms there are 2 types of board one Black board and other white board and projector is also available, in laboratory nearly all the required equipment is available, in library all the books are available easily, in sports Center nearly all type of playing equipment is available and our hostels are also very clean in hostels wi-fi lane is available in every room.
Currently I am in btech 2nd year chemical engineering department. I have completed only first year in my college after that my study is going on in completely online mode due to covid -19 pandemic. At this time oue faculty is trying to cover as much as possible and they are doing very hard wort with us.
I don't no much more about our college placement process because I have spent only 8-9 month in my college. But before admission I have read about placement on the official website of our college and according to that placement ratio is very good in my college. I think 60-70 percent+students were placed every year. In my branch average package offered was 6lac oer anum.
My college is second top most national Institute of Technology in India and NIRF ranking is 16 in all over engineering college in india. my branch course is 65-70 k per year. No I don't feel that I am getting my money's worth.
My college campus is amazing . It has very huge area. In my campus different -different grounds are available for different -different game. As for cricket there is different ground, for bootball there is a different ground for Bollyball there is a different ground for kabaddi there is different ground etc. And swimming pool is also available. And every hostel contained their own gym.
Nothing
The academic infrastructure is quite good and provides advanced facilities apart from the general basic amenities. However the hostel and residential area needs to be improved further so that the students can focus better on studies.
I'm studying Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Nit ROURKELA. The teaching quality is good. The professors are very well versed with the course content and provide valuable insights song with the regular classroom teaching.
Placements have been good till the last year. This year students faced certain problems due to the covid 19 pandemic and hence the percentage of placed students was a bit less. However the trainning and placements committee did a commendable job.
The cost of course and living is very much affordable at NIT ROURKELA campus Rourkela. The academic as well as hostel and extra curricular activities is very much affordable for the middle class students.
Campus life is the best part at Nit ROURKELA especially. There are numerous opportunities for a student to do so much in any thing that interests him or her. The rich club culture of NITR attracts so many people.
One can surely take admission at National institute of technology ROURKELA if he or she wants to do something great in life without really waiting for opportunities as many opportunities come your way.
Here the college infrastructure is very good. We have all the facilities here. We have separate labs for separate subjects. Most of the classrooms are big and well maintained. Library is also vry good. Hostel rooms are also very good but due to less number of girls hostel we face some difficulties but that's manageable. Sports areas are huge . We have lan connection in every room of the hostel. Here the mess food is good.
The quality of teaching here differs from person to person and department to department. So in our department in life science department all the professors are very good and helpful. They follow the curriculum. The thing which i personally don't like in this curriculum is to include mechanics, electrical and electronics in a life science students curriculum and to include biology in an engineering student's curriculum.
Here the quality of placement is quite good. Most of the students who apply for placement get placed. And mostly computer science department students get good packages. Most of the students get good companies. Though i haven't experienced it yet but i have an idea from my seniors and friends.
For my course i pay almost 1 lakh per yr including the mess fees, hostel fees and other. So i think yeah that worth the money.
Here campus life is outstanding. A lot of clubs are here to engage students in different ways. Students join different clubs according to their interest. The campus is totally safe. Location is little away from the main market . The placeis so calm and quite. Here all the member of this institution is very helpful.
I am having a great experience here. The extracurricular activities make students more cheerful. The fests and other events are very good here. And every student definitely miss this campus after passing out.
Infrastructure in NIT Rourkela is more than sufficient for a student. The lecture halls, library, laboratories everything is good and better than other colleges. Appart from academic infrastructure swimming pool, playgrounds, indoor stadium, tennis, basketball courts, Gym ets are available . Food is varies from hostel to hostel. Hostel and washrooms are always maintained.
Academic is one of the area which you have to take care about here. You won't get anything free here you have to earn every single mark. You have to take every test every lab seriously. Academic diversity is one of the main attraction in this college.
Placements are good compared to other colleges of same tag line. Every year almost more than 80 percent students get placed and rest choose higher studies rather than placements. Highest salary which is about 43 lacks for CS and average for undergraduate students is about 6 lacks according to NIRF.
ROI of this college is very good. What matters in the long run is your degree and the tag line.
Now the best part of NITR is its campus life. The night life and hostel life is awesome here. There are various clubs for various extracurricular activities like dance , singing, acting, coding, robotics etc . The fest and the festivals are also stress relief for everyone here. Students spend more time on their extracurricular then class hours.
Every year almost thousands of students think to be here but only a few get the opportunity. If you get the opportunity then don't miss it.
I think it's one of the best colleges out there with the best infrastructure and very hygiene. There are building for each of the department and well maintained also with proper lifts and cleanliness also.
The professors are very good and they teach us in very much detail. Everyone is very skilled in their part and they teach very well. They have the knowledge that you may not find in any other part of the country.
A nice placement history with good packages and most of the people get placed. Big companies like Google, Adobe, Microsoft, and many more come for the placement. Packages for the mass recruiter is also high.
It was so less for a semester and all those facilities with that much amount of money is so nice.
The campus had everything that you need and also has transportation to go out.
The best college in India I would say.
